Privacy policy

Who we are
Pierce County Tree Help ("we") is a referral service connecting homeowners in the Tacoma and Puyallup, Washington area with one independent tree service company. We don't perform tree work.
What we collect
- Information you give us in the request form: name, phone number, email (optional), town or ZIP code, the service you need, urgency, and your message.
- Consent record: that you checked the consent box, the consent wording shown, the time, and the page you submitted from.
- Basic technical data: your browser's user-agent string and approximate country, which our hosting provider (Cloudflare) supplies. We use these only to prevent spam and abuse. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To pass your request to one participating tree service company that serves your area, so that company can contact you by phone or email about your request.
- To follow up about whether you were contacted, and to handle complaints.
- To keep records of referrals and consent.
Who we share it with
- One participating tree company per request. We don't sell or rent your information to lists, data brokers or multiple companies.
- Our service providers who host the site and store submissions (Cloudflare), only to operate the service.
- Authorities, if required by law.
Texts and calls
We won't send you marketing text messages. The company we refer you to may call or email you about your request because you asked us to have them do so.
How long we keep it
We keep referral records for up to 24 months, then delete them, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute or comply with law.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop sharing it, by using the contact form (write "privacy request" in the message). Once we've shared a request with a company, that company's own privacy practices also apply. Ask them directly too.
Children
This site is for adults arranging work on property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
Submissions travel over HTTPS and are stored in a private database with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the effective date.
